Body Scan

After big emotions, the body has been put into a fight or flight mode with tight and engaged fascia and muscles, nervous system integration of excessive adrenaline firing, and an under stimulated rest and digest Vagus nerve. Bring your body back into rest and digest mode by tuning into your mind-body connection of telling your muscles to relax. When your body is relaxed, your mind must be relaxed too – you cannot have a stressed mind when your body is calm – physiologically it just doesn’t work.
